Breast Cancer Awareness Night
On Saturday, October 29, the Chicago Wolves hosted Breast Cancer Awareness Night. The Wolves asked fans to join the coaches, players, and staff in wearing pink attire in a show of solidarity in the fight against this all-too-common disease.
“Stick It To Breast Cancer” shirts and autographed pucks are still available for purchase with proceeds benefiting A Silver Lining Foundation and Chicago Wolves Charities. Contact Camille Colletti at (847) 832-1954 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
Fans also had the opportunity to honor a breast cancer survivor of their choice by donating $175, the cost of a mammogram for someone who can’t afford one, to obtain a one-of-a-kind Breast Cancer stick. A Wolves player of the fan’s choice wrote the name of the fan’s favorite survivor on his stick and used it during the Wolves’ 7-3 victory over Rockford at Allstate Arena. After the game, fans met the players who honored their survivors with their sticks and took professional portraits with them.
With your generosity, we sold 22 sticks and provided 22 women with mammograms who otherwise could not afford one. Thank you so much to all who contributed.
